Idaho Gem, the first sucessfully cloned mule in the world, is unveiled at the University of Idaho (U.I.) in Moscow, Idaho on May 29, 2003. A team of scientists from U.I.-Utah State University announced that Idaho Gem was born on May 4 after the team succesfully cloned the hybrid foal using new cloning techniques.
