On the back of this photograph John James Frowde writes, "Ventors next to LMS being pulled down by wire cable & traction engine. This method was to hurry the job; and it resulted in Halton's gable on Market Hill being loosened from its house when the house on corner (Jimmy Gell's old shop) was pulled down by the engine. A hectic situation. Halton's now shored up with timbers, see later films."
