Mr. Karl Sommerfield: Thirty-nine year old Karl Sommerfield, the man who invented the” Tin-Lino” - the portable road and airfield surface which kept aircraft flying and armies moving during vital periods in the war appeared before the Royal Commission on Awards to Inventors at Somerset House again this morning.
