Park Avenue is a wide boulevard that carries north- and southbound traffic in the New York City borough of Manhattan. It is also a wide one-way pair in the Bronx. For most of its length in Manhattan, it runs parallel to Madison Avenue to the west and Lexington Avenue to the east. The street was formerly called Fourth Avenue for its entire length, and is still called that below 14th Street between 17th Street and 32nd Street it is called Park Avenue South. The section between 17th Street and Broadway/14th Street is called Union Square East. In the Bronx, it runs in several segments between Major Deegan Expressway and Fordham Road.
