A three-quarter-length portrait of a woman, seated to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing an off-the-shoulder amber-coloured dress and green cloak which is draped over her right shoulder and across her lap, her head supported by her right hand. Dark brown hair, with curls framing her brow Stone fluted column on the left with a reddish-brown drape Anne died before her husband became James II but she was the mother of two Queens, Mary, wife of William III, and Queen Anne.
