Three Canadian soldiers examine German guns captured in the galleries of the Aucrais quarry in Haut-Mesnil, where the Germans had stored equipment, including a scale 1 V2 model with a missile carriage. To the right, an Ex-Russian 7.62cm FK39 (German designation) Divisional Gun M1939 76.2mm To the left, an AT 7.5cm Pak 40 Then behind a 122mm Howitzer M1942 Ex-Russian Again behind an Ex-Russian 7. 62cm FK39 In the background two GW Lr S für 15cm SFH13 f (Lorraine tracker modified to accept a German 150mm) SdKfz 135 1. Several trucks in the background, one of which on the left is a Chevrolet Model C60X with a goat. The soldier in the foreground is wearing the RCOC (Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps) patch of the 1st Canadian Army. This would have been equipment from General Conrad Heinrichs' 89 ID, which came from Norway and arrived south of Caen at the beginning of August to relieve the Panzer Divisionen. This hamlet was liberated on 8 August as part of Operation Totalize by The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada-Princess Louise's of the 10th Inf. Brigade of the 4th Canadian Armoured Div
