Auschwith-Birkenau was probably the most infamous concentration camp of the Holocaust. It was liberated by Soviet troops in 1944 and a large proportion of the footage included was filmed by the Soviet cameraman Alexander Voronsin, who also contribute with an interview.
The Programme is introduced by Simon Wiesental and is an account of some of the Second World War's worst atrocities, and the reasons behind them.
