Image description

Alex Larenty, of The Lion Park, in Lanseria, near Johannesburg, holds up a set of triplets, including two very rare white lion cubs-named Letsatsi, Legodigo and Nyanga, meaning sun, sky and moon respectively, March 2, 2001.The white cubs, worth over R300 000 (U.S$45,000) each, are unlikely to be sold. The triplets are the "grandchildren" of the original white lions of Timbavati, a game reserve where the first ever white lions were spotted 25 years ago. AL/WS
