Venice 1998. Facade on the Grand Canal of Palazzo Malipiero (now Palazzo Barnabò). It is located on campo San Samuele at numbers 3200 and 3201. Senator Alvise Gasparo Malipiero, owner of this palace in that time, was patron of Giacomo Casanova who as a boy frequented this house on almost all days from 1740 to 1742-43. It borders on the home of Teresa Imer. Through the garden Malipiero could see the girl and he fell in love with her. When he found Casanova courting her, turned him out of the house forever / Venezia, 1998. Palazzo Malipiero, oggi Barnabò, facciata sul Canal Grande. Si apre in campo San Samuele ai numeri 3200 e 3201. Alvise Gasparo Malipiero fu il protettore di Giacomo Casanova che da ragazzo frequentò il palazzo quasi tutti i giorni, dal 1740 al 1742-43. Confinava con la casa di Teresa Imer. Attraverso il giardino il senatore poteva scorgere la stanza della giovane della quale si innamorò fino a farne una protetta. Sorprese Casanova a corteggiarla e lo cacciò dal palazzo -
