A three-quarter-length portrait, slightly left, wearing a classical Roman dress, full-bottomed long wig and lace cravat, and a red cloak, pointing wih his left hand. Sir Robert Throckmorton, 3rd Bt. was born on 10 January 1662 at Moorhall, Warwickshire, England. He was the son of Sir Francis Throckmorton, 2nd Bt. (1641-1680) and Anne Monson. He married Mary Yate, daughter of Sir Charles Yate, 3rd Bt. and Frances Gage. He died on 8 March 1720/21 at age 59. He was buried on 15 March 1720/21 at Weston Underwood, Buckinghamshire, England. His will was probated in 1721.He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Throckmorton, of Coughton, co. Warwick [E., 1642] on 7 November 1680. He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 15 January 1682/83 Coughton Court, Warwickshire
