Cuban Foreign Minister, Felipe Perez Roque, speaks to journalists in Manama, Bahrain, May 6, 2003, during a news conference. Minister Roque said that Cuba dislikes the presence of the U.S. Base in Cuba but its not in their hands.. Suspected terrorists have been imprisoned at the remote U.S. Naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, some of whom have been held for more than a year. Most of the Guantanamo prisoners were captured in Afghanistan during the U.S.-led war against al Qaeda and the former Taliban government launched following the Sept. 11. 2001 hijacked plane attacks.
