Christ in front of Caiaphas. Green passion, so called from the green prepared paper. A series of 11 scenes from the Passion of Christ, which begins with the capture and concludes with the burial. In 1504 Dürer created this passion episode briefly with the pen, and executed them by pen and brush in ink and opaque white on green prepared paper.

Christus vor Chaiphas. Grüne Passion, so genannt von dem grün grundierten Papier. Eine Folge von 11 Darstellungen aus der Leidensgeschichte Christi, welche mit der Gefangennahme beginnt und mit der Grablegung schliesst. Im Jahre 1504 entwarf Dürer diese Passionsfolge flüchtig mit der Feder und führte sie dann mittels Feder und Pinsel in Tusche und Deckweiss auf grün grundiertem Papier aus.
