Furniture and Rocks in a Room (Mobili e rocce in una stanza), by Giorgio De Chirico, 1973, 20th Century, oil on canvas, 99,5 x 81 cm
Whole artwork view. The painting represents an ideal room, at which inner can be found different objects; the floor, which seems to be made of woodboards, is covered with a blue rug, upon which are placed an orange sofa, a short cupboard, a marble statue represented as faced backwards and two sections of ribbed pillars; leftover in the room are two white, Neoclassic, small edifices, one in front of each other, a black railing and a big formation on the wall on the deep end of the painting; on the left wall is a little rectangular window which lets glimpse a light blue sky with sporadic white clouds
