Apr. 11, 1953 - Plaque for the Queen - If Ministry Agrees. At coronation time passers by in Bruton street, Mayfair, may see a 5 crimson and white wall plaque, marking the birthplace of the Queen, hanging on the side wall of a block of Government offices. It is being paid for by a group of local residents and business men who believe, whatever the official view may be, that the birth of the Queen in their street should be commemorated in some way during the year of her Coronation. The Commitee is hoping that the Ministry of Transport will have no objection to the palque being placed on the wall. Keystone Photo Shows: The 5 plaque it measures 4 ft. by 3 ft.
