Little Holland House was built 1875-6 for the artist George Frederick Watts (1817-1904); the architect was Frederick Cockerell; No. 6 Melbury Road; Watts lived there until his death in 1904; this house replaced a house of the same name which was the dower house of Holland House on the Holland Estate in Kensington, west London;
