In Battipaglia (Sa), in April 1969, during a strike against the closure of the few factories in the area, the police fired on demonstrators and killed Teresa Ricciardi and Carmine Citro. The film reconstructs the facts with interviews with protagonists and witnesses of what happened, who angrily claim a stable job and underline the falsity of the news about their struggle, given by official information sources. Unjustified police violence against demonstrators emerges. A hospitalized photographer is interviewed following the beatings received by the agents. The images show the means of the public force set on fire, the devastated rooms of the prefecture that had been stormed by demonstrators. Finally, comes the painful testimony of the sister of Carmine Citro, the young man killed, who had remained to fight with his comrades despite having a job: "The factories are all open because my brother is dead".
