The New Roman Gallery displays recent finds as well as material not seen for over 500 years, including treasures of the real Croft Collection. The collection includes geology, archaeology and the natural history of the area, from the age of the dinosaurs, to the Roman East Riding. Stunning mosaics are set out Roman style and the ‘Celtic World’ collection features a charioteer queen and the immense Hasholme boat. Prehistoric galleries depict man’s impact on the land since the last Ice Age. The New Roman Gallery contains 70 million years of history.
