Oslo in the fall of 1965. Oslo Cleaning work has 104 garbage trucks, and cleaning workers empty 70,000 garbage cans two to three times a week, or nearly 90,000 tonnes of household waste a year. Of this, 10-12 tonnes are food residues, and a not insignificant part is hazardous waste. Here are the garbage riders on car 402. It is a modern car, where the waste from the small boxes is emptied in a large container which, with a single handle, is mechanically tipped up on the load.
