A full-length portrait of a young child, standing in an interior, wearing a white lace bonnet with a white aigrette, a lace pinafore (bodice embroidered with fleurs-de-lys) over gold embroidered crimson dress, with stand-up lace collar, a jewelled sash, worn from the right shoulder crosses at his waist, he holds a bow in his left hand (the velvet handle embroidered with fleurs-de-lys), an arrow in his right, a quiver on a table at the left which is covered by a green cloth embroidered with gold fringe. Behind the table is a scarlet pillar, a green velvet drape with gold fringe is looped over the top and falls in folds at the right.
