Image description

Serbian deputy Prime Minister and ultra-nationalist Radical Party leader Vojislav Seselj (R) shakes hands with Milan Komnenic (L) of Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) at the begining of Yugoslav parliament session on the economic policy, including new customs and taxes regulations in Belgrade August 17. Yugoslav Prime Minister Momir Bulatovic reshuffled his federal government on August 12, dismissing seven ministers and bringing in 12 new members, including five from the ultra-nationalist Radical Party. The new government, announced amid anti-government rallies across the country, is made up largely of Milosevic's Socialist Party, the Radicals led by Vojislav Seselj and the Yugoslav Left (JUL) led by Milosevic's wife, Mirjana Markovic. The previous government included four members of Vuk Draskovic's Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO), but they quit the cabinet after Draskovic was sacked as deputy premier for appearing to question Milosevic's Kosovo policy.
