Invitation to predication and other scenes. Thangka from a sequel devoted to the main episodes of the life of the Buddha. East Tibet. Second half of the 19th century. Xylography painted on canvas. In the center: the invitation to predication by the deva. To the right of the Buddha: the Buddha wonders the good of delivering his teaching. Bottom left: The Buddha finds the members of the happy group before the first sermon. In the center under the Buddha: the wheel of the Law, symbol of Buddhist doctrine and the first sermon.
