New York City, New York (NY), United States of America The Steuben Society, an organization of German ethnic Americans has gathered on the occasion of the 250th recurrence of the first German immigration to the United States at Madison Square Garden in New York. Tens of thousands of guests attend the meeting. The hall is decorated with American flags, sporadically also swastika flags of the Nazi Germany can be seen (left).
