A full-length portrait of a boy, standing, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, in a landscape, wearing classical dress with scarlet cloak and yellow tunic. The anatomy of his foreshortened left hand on his hip with a bow is mistaken. An absurdly painted greyhound appears on a small scale in the background. Oliver Millar has suggested that this may be by Borsselaer. 1930 Inventory describes as 'A boy as Apollo' by Lely; 1909 inventory simply as 'A Boy as Apollo'. Treasurer's House, North Yorkshire
