Caption: 'Rübezahl bestellt als Ritter beim Wirt fur sein Gefolge ein gutes Mahl und gab ihm 50 Goldgulden. Der Hausknecht sollte ihm den Stiefel ausziehen; weil es nicht gelang, griff der Wirt zu und riss dem Ritter den stiefel samt Bein ab. Beider warf Rubezahl die Treppe hinunter. Das Gefolge kam nicht, der Wirt ass das mahl mit seinem Gesinde allein und war durch das Geldgeschenk reichlich entschaedigt'. ['Rübezahl, dressed as a knight, ordered a meal at the inn for his entourage from the inn keeper and give him 50 gold florins. The servant was supposted to take off his boots. Since he could not manage it, the inner keeper tried and ripped off his boot with the leg still in it. Together they threw Rübezahl out on the stairs. The entourage did not arrive, the host ate the meal along with his servants and had been richly compensated by the gift of money'].
