Video description

TILT up, daylight, one of the two cloisters of the monastery. The monastery was founded by the Catholic Monarchs in Santa Fe in 1492, but was transferred ca. 1496 to Granada, first to another location and then to its present location in Calle Gran Capitan. The work was directed by Jacobo Florentino, "El Indaco", and on his death in 1526, by Diego de Siloe. The building has a late-Gothic design with Renaissance elements. The Main Cloister is Gothic in design and divided into two stories, of which the lower one, seen here, has semicircular Roman arches and leafy capitals.
