Image description: Heroic young girl. At the Rio cinema in Sclessin (a suburb of Liège), shortly after the start of a film, a fire suddenly broke out. An Italian child was just in time to raise the alarm that the flames had already reached the ceiling. Panic scenes followed among the spectators. But at that tragic juncture, not everyone lost their minds. A thirteen-year-old girl, Jeannine Rombault, entered several times in the room transformed into a stake to help her companions in danger. He fell, a victim of his heroism, after rescuing three girls. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 17 April 1955.
