Jubbar Khan was the brother of Emir Dost Mohammed of the Barakzai dynasty and his chief minister or Wazir during the first part of his reign. After the invading British had overthrown his brother he surrendered himself, along with Dost Mohammeds family, at Bamyan in November 1840.
