Bergen November 19, 1965. Killing convicted Carl Jacob Schnitler is dead. Murder and sex offender Carl Jacob Schnitler from Bergen is dead, 71 years old. Schnitler was convicted of a number of crimes such as murder, attempted murder and rape. Most attention aroused the Rita case from 1962, where a 15-year-old girl from Bergen was abused and killed. He was released in 1993 after serving a total of 24 years. For the last eleven years of his life he lived in Oslo. Here from the trial in 1965, where his defender Alf Nordhus fights for the acquittal of his client. Nordhus believes that Schnitler did not act intended and that he was influenced by pills, alcohol and drugs.
