Serbian Parliamentary Speaker Natasa Micic speaks to the media in Belgrade November 13, 2003. Micic formally called a general election for December 28, following a proposal by the ruling coalition to go to the polls about a year early. Prime Minister Zoran Zivkovic, seeking a new mandate to push ahead with reforms after losing his majority in the 250-seat assembly last week, proposed earlier on Thursday that the assembly be dissolved and new elections called.
