Oslo 1987-11-23: New light is thrown on the pilot and the Labor Party's participation in political monitoring of communists in the post-war years. Ronald Bye states in the book "The Sergeant" that he, as LO secretary, burned an archive of leftist in the People's House in 1969. A note from the deceased expedition chief Andreas Andreas at the Prime Minister's Office reveals that the Ministry of Defense had financed his own surveillance agents in the Ap and LO in the post-war years. The AP management asks historians to investigate the claims. Accusations are directed at former AP secretary Haakon Lie for working with the CIA after the war. The parties NKP, SV and RV will have public investigation. The government refuses. The secret part of the Mellbye report will be presented after prolonged political pressure in November.
