George II stool and sofa create seating area under a wall covered with oil paintings by Vuillard, Manet, Pissarro and other French Impressionist artists in giltwood frames in the Living Room of the Getty mansion. Ann & Gordon Getty lived in a 1913 mansion in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights. Mrs. Getty was a brilliant interior designer and together the Gettys filled their home with layers of fine art, European and Asian antiques, and decorative arts. Their collection sold at Christie’s New York in October 2022 achieved over $150 million with all proceeds benefiting cultural charities.
