NATIONAL MARITIME UNION BOSS JOHN COOMBS REACTS OUTSIDE PATRICK STEVEDORES' PORT BOTANY TERMINAL IN SYDNEY. Australian Maritime Union (MUA) boss John Coombs reacts whilst talking on his mobile phone outside Patrick Stevedores' Port Botany terminal in Sydney May 7. Coombs negotiated all day with the administrators, but last-minute hitches kept the gates closed to the 333 workers waiting to return to work at the Sydney dock. The dockers are now expected to begin work early May 8 according to the administrators of labour-hire units belonging to Patrick Stevedores, which sacked the waterside workers on April 7.
